So, I've noticed that the big 3, "chevy, dodge, and ford" all have models that are starting to use a shutter system for drag. I am curious if anyone has experienced mpg increase on the highway. I currently have 26k, while driving 75mph I get about 45 exactly. I was thinking about blocking the lower grill for the aerodynamics and just blocking the upper for temperature.
Off topic, where did you get the Sport under your Prius C emblem? Its the only one I left on my car. Which had an Audi rushing me in stop and go traffic yesterday. When I passed him later it was funny.
lol, no problem, I got it off ebay. It goes to a Dodge Neon, I think; it was like $6 from China with shipping.

I would think the motor does not need a lot of cooling with 1.5 liters of Bang going on. Any Mechanics want to chime in. I am always looking for a few more MPG's
It's still an internal combustion motor. It gets well over 200 degrees with the coolant and airflow. This will shoot up and make your fan run if you block it at speed. Cars are designed to shut the fan off when you are at a certain speed. This will be bypassed if the car gets too hot, but it can be troublesome. That being said, blocking half shouldn't be a problem unless the temperatures are warmer... but then there really is not point in the block when it's warmer.
