I can usually solve my Mac problems, but this one has stumped me --

I don't have audio when I watch videos through my web browser. It does not seem to be browser or codec related, and the picture is fine. Audio works everywhere else (alerts, DVD's, iTunes ..). I spent a couple of hours scouring the boards at apple.com and found a variety of audio problems, but no solution to mine.

Mac: Powerbook G4 Alu 1.5 Ghz
    OS: 10.4.7

I have the same h/w, running 10.4.8, with no problems. Well, actually not no problems. I can't get yahoo videos to work. But youtube works fine. If you want me to try out something specific, let me know.

    Thanks DragonFly.

I'll update to x.4.8 and cross my fingers. My suspicion is that a config file is corrupted, but there are just too many shared library plists to thrash about blindly.
