when does pcv valve need to be changed? I just took my 2009 prius to dealer with 17,000 miles and they insisted on changing the pcv valve. I suggested that that part sounded like it should go 60,000 miles before needing to be changed and they blamed the carbon build up on the gasoline we get from the gas stations. any advice?
I am confused. You are posting in a Prius v (station wagon) forum,but claim to have a 2009 when 2012 was the first year for the v. But you claim to only have 19,000 in a 2009, which seems very low. (my 2009 has 94,000 miles) If you really only have19,000 miles then months should be your guide, not miles. Let us know which it is, and some one can post the Toyota schedule.
