Usually when I am due for oil change usually 500 miles before, I get the light reminding me about it. I have 29,729 miles on my car and I do not get that "Maintenance Required" light. Anyone know what's up?
What was your exact mileage at your last oil change? It should come on (temporarily) 4500 miles after that, assuming the shop reset the maint. req. light for you at the time of the oil change. It will remain on constantly at 5000 miles.
Yeah, odds are you just had the previous change done at 25,300 or something... i know my last oil change was a couple of hundred miles off due to the timing between it and the 4th of july weekend :-p
