Hi Everyone! Just bought a used 2005 with pretty decent maintenance records (about 76,000 miles). Need some advice on what intervals I should be changing fluids based on the following: PCV Valve - done at 49,229 miles Transmission Drain and Fill - done at 32,000 miles Throttle Body Cleaning - done at 65,000 miles Water Pump/Coolant - replaced under recall at 50,948 miles New tires (Pirelli at 65,000 miles (previous owner always swapped out snow tires every winter) Oil changes were done consistently Thanks!
Welcome to Prius Chat. It sounds like your car has been well maintained. I would follow the recommended service intervals that are in the owners manual. You can also log onto Toyota Owners Official Web Site: Service Coupons, Owner's Manuals, Service Scheduling And More and register the VIN of your Prius in your name there. Once you are signed up, you can get information concerning maintenance recommended, service records on your vehicle as well as record things you have done yourself. If you need a owners manual, you can obtain one there. Best of luck to you and again Welcome to Prius Chat.
At about 90,000 miles have the transmission drained and filled changed again with Toyota ATF WS. Other than that, follow the service manual. http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/omms/05ToyAllMS_MS0012/pdf/01omsour/2005/schedmai/51w1smt.pdf (80,000 miles is page 14 of the manual, page 17 of the PDF)
