maintence required light?

    My new prius just hit 5k miles so the maintenance required light came on. i went and got the oil change and the light didn't turn off. how do i turn the light off? thanks

    On page 122 owners manual third collum :

    1. Press the "POWER" switch to the "OFF" mode with the odometer reading shown.

    2. Press "POWER" switch twice to select the "IG-ON" mode while holding down the trip meeter reset button. Hold down the button for at least 5 seconds. The Odometer indicates "000000" and the light goes off.

    I just leave the light on all the time. It's easy to remember when the oil change is needed: 5, 10, 15, 20...
