Ok all Have kind of a weird question. I am down to one key fob and 2 entry keys. I was wondering if there was a way to program an RFID tag to allow me to start and drive my car in case of an emergency. I have tags similar to these I do have techstream, a working fob, and a phone that can read and write RFID data. Any thoughts on this? Thanks all for your wisdom and communication
Why not just buy another FOB and program it using the chicken dance? That way, you'll have 2 real keys.
Great question I am currently at a very bad place financially, and even the $60 to buy one on ebay is pricey for me. And I do have some RFID stickers and an arduino RFID key I was hoping I could get those to work. I tried scanning the key on my pone but it did not show anything (was not able to read it)
I will try the chicken dance with one of my NFC chips today. even if it ruins it it is only a 50c chip. I'll let everyone knwo what happens. If anyone has more info on this please send it my way.
I dont see my last post so I will repost That is a great question Currently the $70 on ebay is to much for us. (in a tough place right now) And I do have the other RFID chips and an Arduino RFID. So I was going to try to use them instead. Do you know of a good place to get cheaper Keys? All the links in the forums dont go anywhere Thanks again for your help and input
I had a white 2005 that was totalled over two years ago when an SUV ran me off the road by accident. I may still have that fob hanging up somewhere. When I get home from work today, I'll take a look around the house. If I find it, I'll send it to you. I believe you can at least get the RFID to work in the slot. I don't think you'll be able to get the SKS part working tho.
It has your name on it. I took out the cut key and inserted a blank key. That way you can get it cut to match your car if desired. Just shoot me a PM (conversation) where to send it.
