March of the hybrids By Michele Chandler Mercury News Hybrid cars aren't just zipping past SUVs in the carpool lane -- their popularity is, too. The trend toward more hybrids is great. However, the new Toyota RAV4 is NOT a hybrid, comes as a 6-cylinder and earns poor fuel economy. Come on Toyota, get a clue. There are many of us out there who admire the RAV4 (and the RAV4 EV).
I am soooooo onboard with all that. And glad we got our cars before the Katrina-related petrol situation got our attention.
