Well the USB socket finally prompted me to finish ripping my CD collection. I then used two 8 GB flash memory drives and filled them both up. I have only listened for a short time, but I love having my library with me. 16 gigs should hold me for a while. The interface is a little slow, but so far so good. I'm sure when my collection grows I can either upgrade the USB drives, or just add a couple more to the keyring I put them on. I am really enjoying the new car. Between AM FM SAT BT USB and AUX it's unlikely I'll run out of audio entertainment. If it was not for XM nav traffic I'd probably ditch the XM.
Shut up! ...I'm just playing...i'm jealous of your usb port. I see no reason why every model and ver. of the prius shouldn't have a usb input. for god sakes it 2010. CD's are going out of style, its like having a tape deck almost.
As does my 03 4Runner. Bought new in 03 it had it's first tape inserted in 2010. About the only thing cassette players are good for is with a quality line in adapter "tape" I have been surprised that the sound quality can be quite decent with an adapter. I need to buy a couple more 8 gig flash drives. Found another directory with loads of music. 1 or 2 more should do it. And also ran in to one of my favorite annoyances, the folder select buttons are grayed out when moving. I want a car company, not a nanny. That is currently my pet peeve with Toyota.
