2006 Prius MFD (navigation) screen doesn't work and the dash/speedometer doesn't work either. So I removed the MFD assembly to try and bench test it by connecting the #2 and #3 pins to 12volts and grounding the case. ( I found this info on here "testing mfd srceen without car" post from 2018 ) Here is the problem: this does work but the screen lights up for a second with the toyota logo and then goes dark. Ive repeated this several times with the same results. What im asking is this: 1) an i missing something ? im expecting the screen to stay on to confirm that it works. 2) is there a confirmed way to bench test these assemblies.? Any help would be appreciated. Any links to more info?
