The MicronAir particulate filter is available for the Gen 3 at Canadian Tire (even though it's not listed yet).

Look for 23-3897-4. It fits all the late model Toyotas and Lexus (so basically current generation cars).

Price: ~$24 after taxes vs. $32.95 plus taxes at the dealer for a dust & pollen

For those outside of Canada, look for TY05190P. Those in the US can order them online actually and it is listed for the 2010 Prius.

    suuuuuuper easy. No tools required

    1. Open your glovebox

    2. Locate the gas strut to the right (side closest to the door). Disconnect it from the glovebox

    3. The glovebox is hinged at the bottom with C-shaped grips that hold onto a plastic bar. There's also two stops on either side of the glovebox to stop it from opening all the way. Slowly pull the glovebox such that you're pull the C-shaped grips away from the plastic bar at the bottom of the glovebox. It would help if the glovebox is empty (so it'll be lighter).

    4. Locate the white box. That's the air filter box. There's a cover for it. The release tab is on the right (next to the bunch of wires). Push the release tab, lift towards you and pull to the right.

    5. Take out the old filter and put in the new one.

    6. Replace the cover by first sliding the left side of the cover into the slot (or catch) and then locking it in.

    7. Now this part is a little tricky. Examine the bottom of the glovebox so you have an idea of how those C-shape grips look like. There's a flat bit on one end. Now locate the two stop tabs at the "top" of the glovebox. Slide the left side in then try and position the bottom of the glovebox so that the C-shaped grips can latch on. Then carefully push the glovebox in until the stop tab on the right is in. It will scratch the plastic slightly. It'll rub off.

    8. Locate your gas strut and connect it back to the glovebox. Ensure the glovebox works properly.

For more information, consult the owner's manual. I think it has diagrams there.
