So, hubby moved said car and then, somehow, some alien creature ate one of the keys or so it appeared. I have the second key, so not a MAJOR issue. Said key was finally found, stuffed between seat and center console....but.... I am assuming, if a key is lost within the car, there is no way to find it other than the old "search everywhere" method. Just checking, just in case this ever comes up again and we can't find said key -- BTW -- checked cabin filter box, air filter box, spare tire well, etc. before finding key. Unfortunately, I had been working on the car doing the filter checks, etc. around about the same time he moved it. So, we still are "discussing" who "lost it."
If my smart key is in the car lost and I try to lock it with the other FOB, the doors wont lock. Therefore, I know the lost smart key is somewhere in the car
Not really lost if it's in the car then, is it? Be careful with your fobs or be prepared to for over $400 when you really lose it one day.
