Hope they prove everyone wrong some day. Just about everywhere one looks, the numbers continue to disappoint.
Let me help you out with your post since it’s only showing the first quarter. Also keep in mind many Mirai buyers are waiting on the redesign of 2021. Toyota Mirai US car sales figures
It’s not really bad as Toyota sales were not expected to be off the charts. They actually have been higher than expected.
Oh you just wait Henry Higgins, 20 years from now, the entire world will be driving hydrogen vehicles, and ev’s will be the horse and buggy!
Their goal 5 years ago was to sell 30,000 Mirai in 2020. Are they ahead of that? If so, Bravo! Toyota targets fuel-cell car sales of 30,000 a year by 2020 | Reuters
They sold 10K globally by the end of last year since introduction (mostly US sales figures earlier in this thread + Japan?).
I have been hunting for one of the $3000 Mirai sales to do a motor swap, I bet they would still count the sale
they haven't been able to connive enough governments to foot the bill for fueling stations. otherwise, sales would be through the roof, like a hydrogen explosion!
Who remembers a Company called Hyundai that started sales in the USA in 1986. Selling a $4,000 Econ box called Excel that could barely go up hills. Boy who would have imagined that that same company is now where they are in technology and sales. Never count out A company based on initial sales. Mirai has only been selling in USA for 4 years.
Many with the $3000 offer rejected it to get another lease, If one of the folks Who don’t plan on keeping the car find my add on the Mirai owners forum and feel generous I might well get on for $3000+ profit + shipping otherwise the dealer markup is too rich and I can’t use the fuel card
The most interesting thing about that chart, is that there were 2 brand new LFA's sold in 2020. THAT is amaze-balls.
