Bought the prius v wagon few days ago and noticed that this trays under cargo area are empty. Supposed to have a cargo/tonneau cover. What other items should it have? Underneath, it has a spare tire, tools and jack. Anything else that I'm missing?
I'm just guessing, but would say cover is standard equipment, cargo net more variable. The cover is a security item, to hide hatch contents. Are you sure the cover isn't in place, is it the usual roller style per hatchback? From the 2012 v manual, installed: And stowed:
Yeah it wasn't there. But the dealer got me a new one. They must have misplaced it when the cargo carpet was changed to all weather cargo tray.
When I got Weathertech floor mats and a cargo mat, I elected to keep the standard carpet installed in all locations except the drivers footwell. My reasoning was sound absorption. I kept the drivers mat just in case a future owner wants it. My luggage cover sits in my garage. I never have occasion to have anything valuable in the car without me being in it and I fold the seats down often enough and carry high cargo so the absence of the luggage cover make things more convenient. You might want to go back and retrieve those mats from the dealer, you are entitled to them. YMMV
Don't you have to buy the carpets as accessory? You are right about not leaving anything valuable in the car. I think the cover may just attract someone to break in and see what's underneath.
Carpet mats were standard in my 2012 v Three from Southeast Toyota. Other distributors may vary the standard content. Of course, SET is always among the highest priced.
