Is there suppose to be a splash shield on the other set of connectors on the wires by the inverter ? I wonder if this is another cost savings measure. Thanks for any help.

I sourced and imported a small number from Japan, but I've been banned from selling them here to other members. I originally bought the older version from an eBay seller from Japan. It took 3-1/2 weeks for delivery. I now have the NEW VERSION with the "easy removal tabs." Removing the older version requires a special tweezers like tool. If done incorrectly, you can damage the connectors.
