Hey there. Someone was on here advertising 10% off of Clazzio Seat Covers. I responded, he replied. I came on today to look up the thread to get the web address and order and "poof" it was gone. Thread is deleted. I can't find it. Can't find it in search and it doesn't show up as one of my posts. Was it deleted by mods. Is there a rule about retailers advertising on the site? Did the OP delete the thread? One last question...how come the Priuschat Shop doesn't have the Clazzio seat covers offered? They seem very popular and the photos look amazing. Would rather buy them from you guys to support this site.
Yes it was removed by Evan I believe... Advertising is not allowed unless worked out with Danny. He was informed of this and continued to spam his advertisements. As to the shop question, I can't give an answer...
I'm guessing products are offered in the shop only if the maker or retailer chooses to offer to do so. Someone who's been barred after spamming the site probably would not be disposed toward placing his products in the shop, and thereby supporting the site. I know nothing about the referenced seat covers, but your local auto parts store has a plethora of seat covers in many styles. The seats in my Tesla are too hard for my bum. I went to the nearest auto parts store and bought a seat cover/cushion that works very nicely.
Not to drag this thread out, but the Clazzio covers are custom fit for the Prius and look amazing. They aren't a generic one size fits all seat cover you would find at Autozone.
You're not dragging it down, by any means. In fact, we encourage Prius owners to provide their thoughts on products, good or bad. Priuschat really is Danny's source of income that feeds his family and pays the mortgage. I'm sure he would welcome Clazzio if they wanted to offer their products through the PriusChat Shop. But in the same way that any brick-n-mortar store wouldn't want someone to come in and start advertising their stuff, Danny doesn't want vendors coming in and advertising their stuff. And we like keeping the general forum clean of vendors and spam. Many a forums have been taken down by an onslaught of vendors and spam. As Moderators, we refuse to let that happen by diligently stopping every attempt.
You might want to contact Clazzio and suggest that they contact Danny and arrange to include their seat covers in the Prius Chat shop. Of course, companies that advertise by spamming web sites might not be inclined to advertise legitimately. But if their post was posted honestly unaware of the advertising policy, they might want to go legit with it.
I purchased from TRDSparks.com, a Toyota Dealership in NC who carries the Clazzio covers. I saw a thread yesterday where they are still offering the leather covers for $390.00 and I think $220 for the PVC covers. Shipping is free.
