OK, maybe you guys will think I'm a weirdo but this facinates me. I just a few years ago learned of the extreme migration that monarch butterflies make each year. Each fall, monarchs return to the same site in California or Mexico (by the millions), depending on their route . How do the Monarchs know to return to these areas?......well, that they haven't yet figured this out because the Monarchs that migrate in the fall were the babies that hatched in the upper U.S. or Canada and have never migrated before. It's miraculous and thought maybe some of you may find it as interesting as I. http://www.pgmonarchs.org/fomc.html
