Was doing my daily check and noticed something odd. This captive lockwasher appears to have its tang misplaced. Doesn't it just look like that tang should be located in the eye of the frame member? Search as I may through all the pictures in my Haynes manual, there isn't a good example showing this angle. So I've attached a pic. Can anyone confirm my diagnosis? If it is supposed to be located as I suspect, what could have caused it to relocate? There hasn't been any major mechanical maintenance on the vehicle to my knowledge, anything dealing with motor mounts.
That tang is there to allow the bolt to be tightened from the other end without there being need for a spanner (wrench) on the end in the picture.
