Watching Motorweek, I found one thing interesting. While Motorweeks actual mpg's were lower by about 1-3 mpg compared to EPA ratings on most cars, their actual mpgs of the Ford Fusion hybrid was 32.9mpg. Has anyone else heard about actual mpg's of the FFH?

I would also recommend www.fueleconomy.gov and find the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid to look at the user reports: If you click on the "View Individual Estimates," you can see the summary listings for each vehicle. Sad to say, we can't get individual tank records like we can at MyHybridCar.com. Bob Wilson
Yes this seems to be a lot more common than one would expect. The FFH values on the EPA website are by far the best of all the midsizers but Edmunds and a few other initial testers commented that they got nowhere near the EPA numbers. 32-36 mpg seems to be the realistic range. That would make it very equivalent to the TCH which can get 36 mpg all day long in combined traffic and as high as 41 mpg in highway driving.
In the FFH adv I heard today on the radio the wording was.... 'Up to 41 mpg in the city' IMO this is the correct way of stating the values. It doesn't guarantee anything for any individual.
FFH had quite few tests against TCH and it mostly got barely better mpg, never got anything close to the claimed difference. I have said this when FFH was released, i suspect they optimized it for better epa mpg performance. It certainly sounds good on paper, and they can always claim it is EPA's fault (they can only advertised official EPA numbers, etc, etc). I actually do not see much wrong there, drivers could educate themselves better on what actual performance vs competition is via reading comparos...
