Looking to permanently mount a large flexible Solar panel on the roof of one of our Prius V to charge up my Ecoflow solar generator that powers our 12v fridge. I see several good options for mounting the panel but looking for recommendations for running the cable into the car that is neat, tidy, and waterproof. Thanks in advance

Just addressing this issue myself. Needed to get power to Starlink from inside car. Found a post which on Reddit or some other forum but no longer have the link of an overlander that ran power to his rooftop rack on his land cruiser by running a cable behind the break light. Here are the steps for the Prius.

    1. Remove the cargo floor.
    2. Remove cargo hooks on left side and rear of cargo area. You can leave the right cargo hook in.
    3. Remove the styrofoam inserts.
    4. Remove the trim piece at the rear of cargo area
    5. Pull the left side of bottom cargo area trim out. Rubber grommet behind this trim piece.
    6. Remove the grommet and cut the tape holding the grommet to the wires.
    7. Remove the left rear break light. (2 x10 mm bolts)
    8. Push wire through grommet and through hole and you will see the wire come out to below and around the corner from the place where the brake light was sitting.
    9. Pull the wire below the bracket that attaches rear break light.

The wire than runs up the gutter and fits through the little space between the rear glass and frame.

Repeat steps 1-7 in reverse order.

Attached is the repair manual section on removing the rear brake light (combination light assembly.
