I have recently upgraded our 04 Prius to a new 2012 Prius 4 and have noticed a potential issue with the way the MPG is calculated in the "Consumption" screen. (Car button -> Consumption) This screen shows the MPG for last several minutes of run time in 1 minute intervals. I would expect the calculated MPG for each interval to be an average over that minute, but this is not what I have experienced. It appears that the value displayed is an instantaneous value rather than an average. The MPG calculation appears to be incorrect for this screen. Has anyone else experienced this problem and/or is this a known issue? Thanks, Scott
I know in my 2012 the CONS will say 50.1 for 90% of my driving and when I do fill up, its more like 46.4, mpg, I go by the gas in and mileage.
