Prius forum, The MPG display on my 2012 Prius C II has stopped updating and is stuck at 39.8. The graphic display is still working and when I clicked on the clear button all the graphics reset but it didn't have any effect on the MPG reading. Any suggestions? Jerry D.
i thought someone else mentioned this, not sure though. try disconnecting the 12 volt for a few minutes.
bisco, Thanks, your reply led me to do a search on this forum and I found one that suggested that my display may be on "Trip A or B". It was and when I set it back to "ODO" the MPG updated. Jerry D.
Note that you can reset the mileage and fuel economy shown on the "Trip A" or "Trip B" displays by pressing the "Trip" button on the steering wheel until the appropriate one is being shown and then pressing and holding the "Trip" button down until the display resets. I reset the "Trip A" display after every trip I make so at the end of the next trip I know what the fuel economy was for that particular trip (even if I had to stop and start the car during the trip) and I reset the "Trip B" display each time I refill the gas tank so I know what the fuel economy was for the last tank.
