This isn't a problem per se, but I've been noticing that my current Gen 2 Prius (2004) is averaging several MPG lower than my last Gen 2 Prius (2005) under the same driving conditions as the last one. The hybrid battery shows on the touchscreen that it's getting a full charge, but I'm still wondering if it's due to the age of the battery, and if there's a way that I can test it, and what to do if that's the case. Any thoughts or suggestions?
all cars may be created equal, but like people, they don't all age well. so many things can affect mileage, but if you want to start with the battery, get the dr. prius app. you can do a health check, and module voltages
I can say. My 04 299000, and 05 350000, ran rough with misfire codes. Reman injectors fixed the rough idle, but the improvement of mpg went from 41 to 50 instantly.
