After starting my Prius the engine was knocking and shaking. After running the engine for 30 - 45 seconds it operated normally. The car is always parked in our garage and the outside temperature was approx 32 degrees or a few colder. I have 30750 miles on the car. chq this video
Others have experienced this and there are quite a few threads about it. My 2010 did it 203 times when new and then never did it again.
