I've two problems (1) I got up this morning and the glass breakage sensor was out ON THE FLOOR between the gas and break pedals... (nice huh?) (2) I'm seeming to have the 2k4 prius "can't fill my gas tank" problem. I have an '05 made in July of last year. I went 422 miles on a tank of gas, averaging 51.5 mpg, I still had at most 2 gallons of gas in the car(assuming its a little over a 10 gal tank). Yet I put 25 cents of gas in it only to have it shut off. this has happened to me TWICE. two different gas stations. Did the research here. Still having the problem. I never overfill the car either. IF the fill up goes ok- the pump shuts off leaving me with at most a 3/4 full tank-at least thats according to the "guess gauge". b/c I track the miles & mpg I know how much gas I have in it... and how much should be able to go into it. problem one is easy to fix, just tear the dash apart and remount the alarm. I just got off the phone with toyota-where my car is. There is "No TSB" released for my 2nd problem apparently. anyone find anything differently? I tried looking for the "gas tank tsb" as stated in another thread, came up empty handed.
http://priuschat.com/index.php?act=dscript...wdetails&f_id=3 that's the fuel filler pipe thing i'm guessing you are talking about. the only problem here is that it's for the 04's, and yours is an 05... hmm.
I should probably mention that this started *after* having the car fixed from the accident. I know its not Toyota's fault. its just getting aggravating after this accident to have this problem. and yes, galaxee that was the TSB I guess I was looking for. Edit: just off of the phone again. Prius tech told me he was going to see if there "fuel where there wasn't supposed to be in the lines" Wth is that supposed to mean? I told him I never overfilled my tank. *confused*

The accident damaged the fuel fill pipe or the tank, and they've just discovered that it wasn't repaired exactly right. 3. Your dad has been overfilling the tank when you're not looking and now there's gas where there isn't supposed to be.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(parrot_lady @ Jun 1 2006, 02:45 PM) </div> could be a symptom of damage to the fueling system from the accident, i guess.
