    Hi folks,

I own my PIP only 3 weeks. The first day I picked up the car. The EV was 15 miles after fully charged. After that, my number is going down every day. Today, it is 10.8 miles after fully charged. I heard many people said this is not the actual miles I can run on EV mode. The number will change base on my driving behavior. I hope it is right.

Yes it is right. The number is a guess, and it adjust based on what you are doing.

Like a laptop can claim 4 hours of charge. Well someone may get 4 hours, someone may get 6 hours with the screen dim, wifi off and just letting it sit there. If you are playing a modern game taxing the system, good luck getting 2 hours out of it.

So the car can get 15miles average. After you started driving it, your usage history, your driving style, and your electric needs have changed this to be lower.

Any tips that I can bring the number back up?

I believe I found a glitch to get it back up. Drive in power mode and use the ICE a lot.

There is also rebooting which will reset the data for the EV range but also for other things in the car like radio presets.

There is no reason to bring the number back up. It does not limit your range, it just guesses what it is at and how far you can go. Falsely raising the number just makes it look higher, but in reality does nothing. The actual watt capacity of the pack is the same.

The only way to actually raise it, is to lower your average watt consumption per mile driven. That would involve higher tire pressures, better or different driving style, perhaps an alternate route, etc.

So either I drive very faster without using battery, or I drive very slow to use only battery. That's nice!

Do heavy acceleration in HV and use the "easy" miles on the battery. It really depends on the condition or distance of your commute.

Find clever ways to make the best of both fuels.

Oh...oh, I got one for you! I have to use 5 gallons of gas in the next two months and I'm only 2,7 miles from work. I work 2 days a week. And the Damn EV keeps kicking in giving me higher MPG's:cry::notworthy::sleep::rolleyes::whistle:
