I forgot to post it here Enjoy, I thought it was a great little hybrid with some luxury. I got the chance to drive it about a month ago.
This is a car I could get quite interested in. I sat in one with F sport parts at the SF auto show. It had 18" rims on. The car had a sun roof, and at 6'2", I was likely within 2" of roofliner. I like to get a knuckles width salute between head and roofliner and it seems the non-sunroof would allow that (they will have a non-sunroof stripped version, eh? ) Car definitely sits you lower than Prius with low Hip-point seating. Keep in shape to get in/out of the car. Steering wheel appeared squarely centered about the seat, unlike the Prius. Like OP, I also noticed the hefty sacrifice of rear seat room especially with front seat fully back, and front seat does offer very generous legroom. Upscale feel to interior. Sport type center console between seats. Lot of people looking at the car at show. Bet'cha many didn't care whether or not it is a hybrid, they think it looks hot. I think that is great.
Hahaha. Yeah it looks pretty great stock, but it still needs to be lowered, body kit-ed, tinted and rim-ed
Thanks everyone. I also think with the F-sport parts and larger wheels/drop it will look really good and make an awesome DD.
Look of it this way. Gen1 (2001) Prius got a combined 41 MPG. After 10 years, 2011 CT200h will get 42 MPG with the luxury, refinement and handling of a Lexus.
Near Prius fuel economy with sports sedan handling will be a good combo. Straight line performance will be comparable to several 1960s vintage sports cars that were more fun than a barrel of monkeys to drive and the CT200h handling and brakes would blow them away on a road race track
