My smartkey isn't so smart anymore...

    hi all,

    My smartkey unlocks the doors from far away if I use the buttons, but now I have to insert the key to start the car, and the handle-unlock function doesn't work when I touch the handle...I just changed the battery in the remote, so it's not that!

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Did you check the smart key disable button under the steering column?

    Really? Where is it located? I got no manual with this car when I bought it used...

    Never mind that question......couldn't have been more obvious. I had never noticed that button! Thanks for the advice!
