Hey everyone, first Prius I've owned! I'm working on restoring it, since it was destined for a junkyard soon. 2014 Prius Two 105k miles Had a new engine installed, but it was never ran I began filling the coolant, and I noticed some leaking. It looks like there's only one cooling line attached to what looks like the thermostat housing. Any idea where this open line would go?? I couldn't find any diagrams that were relevant. This is on the passenger side of the car, right above the AC compressor. Thanks for the help!!
The hose you want is 16267. That's the bypass return hose; it brings coolant back to the water pump even when the thermostat hasn't opened yet. You can see that the coolant returning is coming from the leg pointing down from the front of the EGR cooler (which gets there after circulating through the heater and the exhaust heat recycler) and is joined by the coolant returning from the throttle body. A fairly significant hose, all in all.
Here's a link where you can get info on that hose, part no (16267-37050), price, etc. Radiator & water outlet for Toyota Prius XW30, 3 generation, restyling 12.2011 - 11.2015 - Toyota Car and Auto Spare Parts - Genuine Online Car Parts Catalogue - Amayama US online retailers will have it too, and you can just plug-in the part no.
