    From the article: "If calamari rings were made from the squid they would be the size of tractor tires, he added."

    Now when squidly says 'eat me' he means use a pitch fork and sword.

    I know one can't generalize between species, but in the picture that rather prominent hole between the colossal squid's legs does rather remind me of MysterySquid.

    He's not banned....just took a leave of abscence. I did, briefly, ban him then unbanned him immediately after clarifying an issue.

    Kalamari (a.k.a Squid) is a source of some great dishes;
    Rizoto with Kalamari ink;
    Fried Kalamari
    Kalamari SUSHI

    "Where's the beef" is not the only answer

    There's an excellent episode of Alton Brown's Good Eats on preparation of calamari.

    Deep frying is the best.
    Now if you can find baby squid, light butter them, in the frying pan; heaven
