I recently got a victim of fake fram filter from AZN, got scary after knowing, what is inside of those filters. so trying to make sure I'm buying right stuff. Do you think that Autozone is good source?
I also have NAPA close by and they advertize oil filters with some other technology, they called cartridge style.

    Appreciate you feedback.

The cartridge style filter is a different animal altogether, you need a spin on oil filter.

With the cartridge style, the housing is reused, you only replace the filter element, and an o-ring.

The spin on type filter consists of an all in one filter which has a metal housing and the filter element sealed inside. You screw on the entire "oil filter" and disgard/recycle the old one.

I just go with the Toyota filter, pick it up at dealership. There’s a link in my signature about oil changes, maybe some relevant tips. I’ve done the conversion to spin-on, on my 3rd gen.

just to clarify: this IS a 4th gen you’re doing an oil change on? Avatar indicates 2008.
