National Drive Electric Week (NDEW) is almost here! We were pleasantly surprised to see so many events happening internationally on the event map this year. Here's the map on the Drive Electric Week website! We're also offering drivers charging credit with a free ChargePoint account, and a discount on ChargePoint Home, in anticipation for NDEW. @bwilson4web has your group worked out the details of your meet-up yet? Is anyone else here planning to attend one of the local events, or displaying your car at one of the EV tailgates?
there's one up the street from me in natick, ma. 7 cars registered to show, 5 models. i may drop in if i'm free, but with 11 miles of ev, i'd feel like a carpetbagger.
There's one close to me, too, and they have 20 cars so far. No Primes or PiPs though. But I have other commitments that day anyway.
I've been working on getting dealers and a local bicycle shop that has battery powered bikes to show up. I've rented a tent and table and hope to cover it with glossy folders. So far, only the BMW dealer has shown interest in showing up. I've suggested to each that bringing a used, EV or plug-in to the event would show the affordable side of our favorite rides. Personally, I think the dealers are trying to not sell EVs and plug-ins but we have a friend in Harvey. Gas prices are already at $2.39/gal. There is a high probability based upon the panic buying in Atlanta and Nashville, we'll see $2.75-$2.95 next weekend.
