I purchased a new 2011 Prius III with nav system in October and have shipped the car to the United Kingdom where I now live. Obviously the navigation disc that came with the vehicle is no longer operational. I’m wondering if anyone knows if a disk with navigation data for the UK or Europe will still operate in my unit. I know there are differences between US and UK movie DVDs; they are formatted differently in zones, so I’m wondering if it’s the same for a nav data disk? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Did you try to contact Toyota directly (not a dealer) if they can install different version of the software. I'm sure is possible to install different software, you just have to talk to who is more competent. There might be a situation where you take your care abroad (Europe etc) and you should be able to use your navigation.
