    Have been waiting for sporty types to post on this. But heck, (1) Duke and (16) North Dakota State are at halftime. Much of first half has been very close (Duke now up by 4).

    After UMBC beat Virginia last year we were told there would never be another 16-ranked team beat a 1. But heck, this one's a game!

    That is so, at least in some cases. Not all of which get prosecuted, surely. But some of these kids are awfully inspiring to read about.

    i have no problem with kids. or sports. was watching former patriot anthony pleasant last night at the abilene christian-kentucky game. while they got their hat handed to them, it was a thrill to be there.

    Duke appears to have made a halftime adjustment.

    Was pleased when UC Irvine beat their betters (Kansas State) just earlier. Lots of lead changes.

    Lots of 'my kind of' research happens in Irvine. Few egghead schools find their way into The Big Dance.

    UCF had a less effective first half against Duke than ND State did. Not quite as hoped :(

    Tied with 11:02 to play. Duke is not having a Duke-like 2nd half so far.

    If I understand point-spread betting, Duke was supposed to win this by 12.5 points.

    Duke wins by one. Darn shame that UCF cannot continue in tournament.

    But Fall will be back next year and Williamson will go to NBA (after 1 yr college).

    All I know about those 2 teams is up on 538 right now. It says Hokies should win even though -3 at half. That Hokies would be a tougher test for Duke.

    I doubt either of them could touch Duke though. Not this year. Not with Zion doing NBA tryouts :)
