If your betting bracket had 3 of 4 #1 seeds eliminated, and Saint Peter's (#15 seed) still in, you are doing well indeed. So far.
Cinderella has three more floors to scrub before riding in pumpkin carriage. But few 'fifteens' have ever gotten this far. All my teams of interest have already departed. This is Duke coach K's last year, so their next game will have all the eyeballs.
@bisco was not alone in that hope, but Arkansas now looks like the blowee in a Blue Devils blowout. Villanova and Kansas will decide between themselves who can do the knocking.
duke looks good, and has a lot of motivation. still rooting against them though, i think it has something to do with the color blue
Peacocks break the elite-8 barrier for 15th seeded teams. Despite my proud Hoosier heritage I can’t really say I’ve spent one minute watching collegiate round-ball this year….but the tournament seems to have been one for the record books. The ‘Caines and the Peacocks have each been ‘elite’ once before so there’s non-zero percent chance that new trials will be blazed this year. Everybody else has national championship pennants flapping in their field houses, so unless Cindi avoids returning to domestic engineering, or the Hurricanes make landfall in Nawluns, it’s gonna be mostly the usual dancers in the home stretch.
I'll watch women's basketball because they play a 'thinking' game. The men are trying to make become hockey. Bob Wilson
We have a little bracket action going on at work....after yesterday, I'm in the lead with 67 points and still have Duke and Kansas....I have Kansas winning it all. (Against Kentucky but St Peter's took them out day one....shocking!!)
I'm more of a Wildcats fan than a Jayhawks follower. Please don't tell the red-shirts back home!! I wouldn't mind KU winning, if only for the fact that there might be fewer "mostly peaceful' celebrations.... Other than that? I'm probably not going to catch any of the games. We're officially cord-cutters now, and I haven't squirreled around in the attic enough to mount antennae, run RG6, dial-in a pre-amp.....
Would have LOVED to hear what they said in the Jayhawk’s locker room during half time! Sadly I did not get to see the game, but it sounds like it was a barn-burner.
It's not over till the fat lady sings. Said as a guy from NC for the last 15 years mildly rooting for Kansas.. My overall impression of the last two days of championship games was how well officiated they were. Not that every call was right but the consistency of the calls was better than I had seen this year. (Ex-Ref so I look at games a bit differently) I hated the unclear sidelines painting which contributed to the delayed call on the out of bounds step with seconds to go. I had commented on it earlier in the game. Out of bounds area should be same as playing floor separated by a contrasting stripe. in the NCAAM game the out of bounds area was too close in color to the stripe making the stripe harder to see. Hope Bacot is OK. Hated to see that at that time in the players career and game.
I called it...had Kansas winning it all....won our office March Madness pool.....funny since I came in last place last time we had it!
