I've just agreed to buy a gen II 2008 Prius today... I take delivery next week. I'd say the amount of information I've found on fora like PriusChat has been instrumental in the decision to buy.
Well driving an auto may be my initial hurdle... I've only done that when visiting the US. Hope I don't mistake the parking brake for the clutch... I have test-driven a Prius, and didn't spend the whole time banging my hand on the centre console ;-)
Took delivery today. It's strange. While driving it, I get a (completely unjustified) feeling of doing something clever. I'm going to have to watch my speed, though. I hadn't realised how much a I relied on the gears and the engine note, to control speed.
