Ok, let the lectures and spanking begin! Then can I have some advice. Where can I find out what rims to get to fit a Prius with 145/65 r15 tires? Oh, and is there an adjustable hydraulic suspension that will fit the Prius? [attachmentid=4166]
I thought there was a thread somewhere on this forum that had a link to one of those wheel and tire warehouses. It has a picture of a Prius and when you click on the different wheels it will display those wheels on the Prius. Some of the wheels even display the weight in the specs. Kinda cool. I don't remember the name of the website. As far as the adjustable hydraulic suspension, I don't have a clue.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Trevor @ Jul 17 2006, 08:00 AM) </div> Thanks. I went there before I posted this. I am confused. I want tires that are 145/65 R15. However the site asks me for my make, model and year, then it tells me what tires it wants to offer me. Oddly enough this sight only offers me tires they sell and if I go to another site they offer other tires that they only sell. What I would like to know is. 1. What rims have the same bolt hole pattern as the 2006 Prius? 2. Of those rims what rims will fit the 145/65 R15 tire? 3. Why don't rims have numbers associated with them like tires that could tell you this stuff? 4. Where can I go to find out this information?
Just looking around quickly, I don't see ANY tires which come in your preferred size of 145-65-R15. That tire size, by the way, is WAY smaller diameter than the standard tire of 185-65-R15. You'd have to use something like a 145-85-R15 to get close -- but no one makes that size either. I think your "bicycle tire" mod is destined to not happen...
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(tumbleweed @ Jul 17 2006, 05:13 PM) </div> I think your right. I just figured out that if I do get smaller tires, the outside edge of the tire would be in the same location and it is the inside edge that would change. I had wanted to bring the tires in closer to the center to accommodate larger skirts. If I were to go that route, I would have to get custom rims. No way, I’m too cheap for that. I'll just have to be happy with the espresso machine in the center console. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Bill Merchant @ Jul 17 2006, 12:23 AM) </div> I guess you won't have to worry about seeing that on the road after all.
