Hey everyone! I need help! I just got my Yakima Q Towers and ordered the Q5 and Q124 clips. I need to get exact info on the fairing and cross bar sizes. Yakima recommends the 58" cross bars but Ive seen pictures and they seem to stick out the sides too much for my taste. I also read somewhere here a while back that someone used 48" bars and it worked but i cant seem to find that thread to confirm. Another option that i read someone do was cut the 58" bars to 54". I guess my question is: has anyone here used the 48" bar on a Gen2 or is cutting a 58" my only option for a shorter set of cross bars. Lastly, what size fairing is everyone using? Ive tried to search the threads but couldnt get a definite answer. Id like to know so i can order the right part. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
