I need advice on how to fix my Prius 2007, I have recently changed the 1 cell in my hybrid battery but there is the red triangle of death in my car. I need advice on the best way of fixing it, I went to the auto part and they are saying this is the codes that are showing up; C1310 (Active Booster Solenoid), U0073 (Control Module Communication Bus Off), U0123, U0124 ( Lost Communication With Yaw Rate Module), U0126 (Lost Communication With Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) and U0293 (Lost Communication With Steering Angle Module). What can I fix by myself what needs to be done by a mechanic? How can I get rid of the red triangle of death and how severe are these codes will I still be able to drive the mileage is still around 50 in the car but wondering If some of these codes are showing because I changed installed the battery wrong perhaps? What other orange and red lights are accompanying the red triangle The red triangle is just telling you that something needs attention and the other lights tell you and what part of the systems generally speaking so maybe the b r a k e light is on the! In orange the ABS in orange the VSC in Orange the check engine light etc a picture can be very good. You need a more capable scanner I do believe then the one at AutoZone or Menards or wherever you are like a ap 200 unit from Autel. One of the better $55 purchases you'll make.
The good news is a couple people reported this before. The bad news is there was no resolution and troubleshooting would require laborious voltage checking. You mention you recently tore out the back panels to replace a cell block, maybe you could re-rip out the panels and check all the connections you came in contact with.
First, I would get codes read using a device that gives descriptions that are accurate. Pretty sure C1310 is HV System Malfunction. If you feel confident that you have an accurate list of codes, I would reset them or disconnect the 12vbattery for a few moments to reset the codes and return the car to default condition. See what codes, if any, come back. If the car is driving ok, then I would venture those codes are not active.
I would suggest getting your own scantool. Most are not capable of checking all systems on a Prius. If you have the master warning light (RToD), then there should be codes in the Hybrid Vehicle Control ecu and/or the HV battery ecu. It is possible that the "Uxxxx" series codes (network communications) were caused by whatever scantool autozone had. Here's a thread that reviews several scantool apps and devices. Some can check codes and data on all systems. I thought that you were going to buy the Autel AP200 scan tool that was discussed in your original thread: https://priuschat.com/index.php?posts/3455281 There are additional trouble codes that the auto parts store scanner can not read! Until you buy a capable scanner, you will not be able to see the complete problem for your Prius. I am guessing that you have a hybrid battery problem, but you need to read all the trouble codes to find out. Nobody should say "Active Booster Solenoid" for C1310 on a Prius forum. That's just what that code means in some completely different car. (C1 codes are all allowed to mean different things in different makes and models of car, unlike C0 codes, which are standardized.) Not your fault of course if that's what the auto part place told you. But in a Prius, C1310 is "Malfunction in HV system" and it is nothing but a code the brake system sets when it knows there is some other trouble code being reported by the HV control ECU. The auto part place probably used a scan tool that wasn't able to retrieve codes from the HV control ECU, so they got the C1310 brake code that tells you there is some HV ECU code, but you still probably don't have the HV ECU code that would tell the real story. All of those U codes are concerning though. Something is interfering with communication between a lot of components of the car. It could turn out to be something pretty minor, but it might take a person with some electrical chops and a willingness to work through the "multiplex communication" troubleshooting section in the repair manual to track it down. I got the FIXD Sensor and checked for codes and now it only shows the P0420 however these are the signs that are showing up. The battery scanned voltage is showing up as 13.8v. Any idea what I should do?
Yes, do what was suggested in your original thread and in post #5 to #7 in this thread, buy a more capable scan tool. Buy the Autel AP200 for about $60 on Amazon, download the app for it and then connect to the OBD2 port on the car and read all the trouble codes that your car has, not just a few of them. The FIXD scan tool that you purchased can not read all the trouble codes!
When you buy the AP200 scan tool you will get one car make for life or whatever you want to call it you'll be selecting the Toyota It's 109 MB download so make sure you have room for it to sit on your phone's first or second screen along with the AP200 app which is different than all the other applications this company uses once you have that installed on your phone or some type of device that you're using you'll be able to connect to the car and get all the pertinent codes and the subcodes and it will probably be an extensive list donor race them just get them maybe write them down and post them up You're going to see that'd be the best $58 you've ever spent as far as car stuff it sounds like.

It might You got one available you can check out try it and see My anova 3100 or whatever works pretty well but it can't bleed brakes and it's not as thorough as the AP200 with the AP200 you don't buy any apps you'll download the app for the AP200 and the Toyota file that needs to go with it this will straighten your right out I don't know what to think diag cost. You want to buy something that works or buy something to try and send back either way go for it I don't know that the think diag is in the list here on Prius chat I don't know The AP200 is I also own one I also have a Toyota dealer computer sitting right here I know they work I know most of the autel MX series will work too but that's probably more than most people want to budget for a scanner for their Prius these things start at like 350 plus 7-in screen blah blah blah.

Yes, the one listed on Amazon for $118.90 will work. After the first year, you will need to pay a $40 yearly subscription to keep using it for your Prius. The Autel AP200 does NOT have the yearly subscription fee.
The Autel AP200 will tell you which app needs to be used. You download it for your iPhone or Android phone and install the app. I do not own the Autel AP200, so I have not done this myself, but you will receive information with the Autel AP200 device.
The AP app plus the additional Toyoda 109 MB file that contains all the specific toy stuff. It's also downloaded from Autel.
