Hi Guys, I am a big fun of Prius and currently has 2006 model. The car drives great, except the mileage is running up (200,000) and I need a Gen III. My budget is below $10,000 and I think a 2010 model will do. However, all the 2010 models seems to have no MFD. Can anyone help me in terms of trim or which of the GenIII has MDF? MFD, Leather seat and Bluetooth are a must have for me. Thanks. Zollyzo.
The MFD was replaced by the MID (the crappy little display on the dash). Several display options are available. If you want to see the energy flow just toggle through them. If you want a large display that coincidentally has some of the old MFD functionality (like the back up camera) you'll need to find a car with the NAV, Solar, or Advanced Tech package. Nav was available on a III, IV, or V. Solar was available on a III or IV. AT was only available on the V. Leather was available on a IV or a V. Download the sales brochure for 2010 to see which features are standard and what was available in the option packages. The 2010 was de-featured so if you want to get everything you had in the 2006 you'll probably want a V-AT. Happy hunting.
Here's a good link for brochures: Auto-Brochures.com|Toyota Car PDF Sales Brochure/Catalog/Flyer/Info 86 Avalon Camry Celica, Corolla Corona Echo Mark II Mirai MR2 Prius Solara Yaris Funny, our 2010 Canadian Touring does not have the large screen (whatever it's called), and that's the way I like it. Does have back up camera: displays in rear view mirror. I find that display so wide angle as to be useless, btw.
