I put a $500 deposit on a new 2008 Toyota Prius pkg. 1 in Magnetic Gray at a dealer in St. Louis, MO. I decided not to go for it, but my deposit is not refundable. The car is due at the end of this month or beginning of July. They will be selling at MSRP which I was told is $23,814. It includes floor and cargo mats. Well, they called it a deposit on the car. But, I never signed the receipt since they never faxed it to me to sign. This was all done over the phone. I told the dealer that they could easily find somebody to take my spot.
