Was ordered first part of February....came in Thursday March the 8th. traded an '08 Town and Country which was my car....my wife has a new Cruze; she drove the "v" to church on Saturday evening...now she wants one..... I'm excited....Thanks all..
Heh... I decided to go check out one of the Chevy Volts. I I'll say that I would have seriously considered it, but the things that bugged me about the Volt is that it was similar to the standard Prius as far as the back window area, which I was not happy with. It lacked a wiper for the rear window, so another not liking. The cargo area is 'open to the rear area, even with the seats up. I like the Volt's zippines, however, I am still not sold on the above things and found the shifter to be a bit distracting. And the fact that I already put in about $200 in tinting and a lojack into my Prius that I don't think it would be wise to trade in a less than 2 month old car o n a whim such as the volt. Maybe your wife might like the volt over the cruise and can get something with that regard?
Clubguy that's why we have 2. Spouse's car was due and I wanted fuel efficient after 20mpg. We shopped for me but we both drove a v since we swap cars often and decided on 2. It isn't the first time we've had same model but a first for 2 in one sitting. Only thing we laugh about is we drive the other's favorite color. It's what was available in trim levels. Congrats! W
Like an RV I once had, I suspect the Volt will be an orphan soon. Dealers have no interest in selling it (saw that firsthand) and are doing a ridiculous job in positioning it. Couple that with a lot of GM animosity in the buying public, a 12 month tax credit delay, no room in it.....blah blah blah. But it sure looks cool!
They shutdown production of the Volt because of so little demand GM Stops Volt Production to Match Supply to Demand
