Sadly, a great deal is lost between concept and production in most cars. Accountants, safety engineers, government regulations, and stamping and assembly experts will alter the designer's 'blue sky' design.
Yep, agreed Jimbo... For example... There's no way a human can be safely restrained with seatbelts while being transported in a laying down sleeping position. Ambulances do it slightly reclined facing backwards and motor homes and tour buses do it feet forward, but there's plenty of famous musicians who have been seriously injured while on tour in accidents while sleeping, so to pull this type of sleeping accommodations off inside a smaller vehicle would probably look more like an ambulance configuration with slightly reclined seats facing backwards. My first reaction when I saw their design was that it'd be a great way to carry a coffin, not so much for a living human.
