I am still using the original washer fluid they gave me at the dealer. I don't know if they all use the same or not.. but it seems a bit soapy and leaves a nasty film residue on the edges where the wiper can't go. It cleans the window just great, but any overspray beyond the wipers range leaves nasty spots? Anyone else have this problem? I think I'm going to try and flush it all out tommorrow with the water hose, the siphon some water out or just spray it out and replace with some decent washer fluid? ------------------------------------------- I went and looked at the fluid in the canister under the hood.. it was blue and clear and about 1/2 full.. so I added water to it to dilute it a bit.. I'm not crazy about the brand they use... I don't remember such a filmy window washer fluid I've ever used before?
I've noticed the same thing. I'm waiting to use it all up and then replace the fluid. I'm a big fan of the RainX brand fluids. Orange in winter (de-icer) and blue in summer. It doesn't leave a film like the standard stuff.
