Set of four out the door for $425. Americas tire matched Costco for me. Mounted on some black alloys off an 14, couldn’t be happier!!
Nice! I went with the same ones - replaced mine at 70,000 and now I'm about 60,000 into them. I think my MPG dropped slightly from the OEM tires, but still good, and I'm happy with them. I had really bad luck and ended up with nail or screw punctures on several of them within the first few months. One tire was replaced within the warranty period because it had a second puncture and they wouldn't patch it. But I've had no issue or punctures (knock on wood) in the last 40k miles.
Ecopia EP422 plus comes in at least three different iterations. OEM ones that come with Prius are mostly made in Japan, but those are very hard to find in the US as aftermarket tires. If tires are purchased in the US, then they are most likely either made in US or made in Mexico. I have had all three, and they have different tread patterns and specs.
Were they OEM? Tirerack sells only US and Mexico versions in 195/65/15 size. Most tire retail shops in the US carry only US and Mexico versions. I think 17 inch tires are mostly made in Japan IIRC. If you found Japan version of 195/65/15 tires in store, your were very lucky.
America’s tire ordered them for me. They didn’t come on the car. I expected the US or Mexico version but was very pleased to see Japan. I’ll get a couple pics when I’m off shift.
