New guy with factory FOB question

    Hey All,
    New guy here that just purchased a 2012 Prius C level 2.
    When locking the doors with the factory remote, I can hear the doors lock and see the lights flash.
    From what I've read, the horn doesn't "Beep".. which is a bummer!
    However..
    Can the dealership do some kind of software programming to make the horn beep when locking/unlocking using the remote?

    Thanks for any input!

    unfortunately, no. but maybe a car audio shop could rig something for you

    According to the 2012 C Owners Manual, page 517, it looks like this is customizable, with the factory default set to ON, and loudest volume setting:

    If I'm reading this correctly, only the dealer (or special tools that you can obtain) can turn this feature on or off, but you can change the volume setting, including all the way down to off, from the Display Audio system. Perhaps a previous owner turned the volume all the way down to Off?

    Have you been able to turn the buzzer on, or get it up to an audible level?

    Never mind the remote fob. Dig through the vehicle settings in the Display Audio system, and try to find the buzzer/beep volume setting.
