Hey everyone, new owner here, coming from an Infiniti G37. Moving east where everything's spread out and I just can't be spending what I was in fuel. Just spent my first day with the Prius, and I was nothing short of floored by my 70 MPG average on my 20 mile commute to work this morning. Anyway, I was hoping for a little feedback on how I did at the dealer and about a couple quirks I can't seem to figure out. I have a new 2011 Prius Four in Winter Grey with the Misty Grey interior, Nav and Plus packages. I ended up paying about $32,400, which I'm told down this way in CA isn't easy to beat. One thing right now that's bothering me is that I can't seem to figure out how to get the nav to auto-dim at night. Also, what would my best bet be for automatic headlights and HID replacement (if possible)? Last car spoiled me a little bit on those.
Welcome aboard! Does the dash lights dim when you turn on the lights? If not, you might have the dimmer in the position where the lights remain at high intensity regardless of the lights. Rotate the dial down to see if that makes a diff. (I don't have nav so I am not sure).
Thanks! Yeeeeah... took me a bit to figure out what it was. I guess I assumed the rest of the gauges were supposed to be that bright since they didn't seem glaring. The wheel was clicked into max bright, of course.
