I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I have learned a lot by reading many of the posts.

I put a deposit down on a 2010 Prius IV (no Nav, sunroof or technology package) on 1 June. The color is Sandy Beach Metallic.

The salesman was able to find the car I wanted by the next day. It wasn't allocated to the dealer, so the salesman was able to tradeoff with another dealer to get my car.

Earlier this week, I found out that the car was in the "A" status and the estimated delivery to the dealer was June 23. I don't have a VIN number yet. :D

I am really excited about this purchase since I have never owned a hybrid vehicle. My brother has a 2004 Prius and I have ridden in his car before.

The reason I went with the 2010 was what I perceived to be a considerable improvement over previous models. Since I am replacing a 2000 Dodge Dakota (15.5 MPG), the increase in gas mileage is making my head spin.

So, by next week, I am thinking I will be driving around in my new hybrid.

Congratulations and Welcome! There is really a tremendous amount of information on this site and everyone (except the trolls) is very willing to help out and answer questions. I am also waiting for one, a Blue III, and just received the VIN a few minutes ago.

Wow, you gonna more than triple your MPG. Your gas fill-up time will be cut down more than 3x as well.

Keep moving forward in 0.25 Cd / 50 MPG.
