I looked around and didn't see anything on here, but last night while watching the discovery channel, I saw one of those Toyota commercials about how they are using their technology to make life better for non-auto applications. The guy was driving a toyota sub-compact and was talking about how the hybrid synergy technology was being used to better some random blah blah blah blah. The reason why I only heard the blah blah blah was because he was driving a vehicle I had never seen before, and when they backed the shot out, it showed him driving a sub-compact that had the same stylings as the gen III prius, and had the same hybrid synergy emblem on the front fender. Did I just see the new bigger sized prius that has been rumored? Is this old news or did I actually come across something new?
Negative. That is a sedan, not a subcompact. This is the video I was referring to. I, upon further review am no more intelligent. This is a highlander in the video. There are many cool pics emerging of the new Prius MPV though. I like the one that shows iheart radio on the nav system. Maybe that means that all of our navs will be getting a big update..... or not. [Nothing to see here folks. Move along.]
Prius C (Yaris size) is coming out in a few year. It is rumored to be 10% more efficient, should get about 55 MPG.
Right, when I read your first post....I was thinking you meant this commercial. I wasn't sure if it was a Highlander hybrid or some other non-American model....but it certainly seemed like a mini-van or SUV....I was going to chastise about how it seems far from a subcompact....but no point belaboring that if you've already realized that. For now, we can only hope more cars get the HSD treatment
