Well welcome to the club. We've had our Generation II 2008 model for 7 1/2 years now. We have averaged about 45 mpg over those years, and the only failure we've had is the rubber cover on the tailgate open switch got soft so I replaced it. Other than tires, filters, oil, etc., general maintenance, we haven't had so much as a loose screw. The car has great cargo space, it's comfortable, and the price is quite reasonable. With $155K miles on it we are ready for a new car. I've done a lot of searching but it is pretty hard to find a match for the Prius.
I have driven a lot of cars. Toyota has me sold. My 2006 scion xb gave me 9 years of fun. The prius is years ahead of everyone else. When I drive, I count how many prius' I see, and I stop at 20 within my first 8 minutes of driving. Welcome to the club!
